University Telegram assistant

A Python service bringing university interactions into Telegram, with asynchronous processing and Gemini integration.

The task

University users need a convenient way to interact with digital services. This project uses Telegram as the entry point, with Python handling message processing and service integrations.

My role

I developed and operated the bot. The work covered Aiogram interaction handlers, asynchronous processing and resilient calls to Gemini.

How it works

A user sends a request in Telegram; the bot processes the interaction and returns a response in the same conversation.

Technical decisions

Aiogram manages Telegram events, while asynchronous processing supports external calls. Gemini is part of the inference workflow. University services in my CV also include HEMIS and payment API integrations; this case does not assume every integration belongs to this bot.

Reliability and boundaries

Model calls and external services can fail independently. The CV records work on resilient inference calls and service operation, keeping these integrations part of the backend workflow.

What was delivered

The bot was developed and operated for university users. The institution, real conversations, student records and credentials are withheld.
