Workforce platform for logistics

A shared workspace for office staff and drivers: personnel records, secure sign-in and offline workflows.

The task

A logistics team needs office staff and drivers to work with the same personnel data. The platform combines a web back office with a driver tablet application, including workflows that must remain usable without a stable connection.

My role

I worked across the Django backend and React/TypeScript interfaces. My contribution covered core services, integration work and the access rules shared by the API and interface.

How it works

The back office is used to manage workforce data; the driver application supports work away from the desk. Offline behavior is part of the driver workflow.

Technical decisions

Microsoft OIDC and SMS OTP support the sign-in flows. Workforce integrations bring external data into the product. CASL and backend permission checks keep role-specific actions aligned across the interface and API.

Reliability and boundaries

The work included OpenSpec documentation, code review and frontend error monitoring with Rollbar during operational testing. These help connect a reported problem with the affected workflow and its implementation.

What was delivered

The MVP reached operational testing. This case describes my engineering contribution; the client identity, internal screens and operational data are withheld.
